The Bears exploded for 22 runs on 14 hits to defeat Beech 22-8 on Wednesday night in Hendersonville. Grayson Cole pitched 3.1 innings for the win with five runs, three earned runs, six hits, three strikeouts, and three walks. He is now 3-0 on the season. Cade Hoppe pitched the final 2.2 innings to earn his first save of the year. Hoppe gave up three runs, two earned runs, four hits, six strikeouts, and one walk.
At the plate, the Bears were led by Dalton Earhart, John Dyer, and Dylan Kasper. Earhart went 2-5 with a home run and double to go with six RBI and two runs. Dyer went 3-4 with a double, four RBI, and four runs. Kasper went 3-4 with three RBI and two runs. Thomas Fullerton went 2-3 with a double and three runs. Cade Hoppe went 2-3 with two RBI, one run, and two walks. Trevor Vestal went 1-3 with two RBI and one run. Cal Burgett went 1-3 with one RBI and three runs.
The Bears are now 12-1 (5-0 9-AAA). This weekend they will host part of the PBR Tennessee/Kentucky Challenge. On Friday, they will host Farragut at 4 PM and on Saturday they will host Henderson County (KY) at noon and Arlington at 2:30 PM.
