Three MJHS baseball players signed on Monday, November 13, 2017 to continue their baseball careers after high school. John Dyer signed with Tennessee Tech, Brayden Osborne signed with Howard Junior College, and Ethan Smith signed with Vanderbilt University.
John Dyer is a 3 year starter for the Bears at first base, second base, and third base. In 2017 he hit .300 with 13 RBIs, 11 doubles, and 8 stolen bases.
Brayden Osborne is a 3 year starter at catcher for MJHS. In 2017 he hit .220 with 1 home run and 7 RBIs.
Ethan Smith is a 4 year pitcher for the Bears. As a freshman he was primarily a closer and he has been a starter since his sophomore season. In 2017 he went 2-2 with a 2.20 ERA and 40 strikeouts in 29 innings pitched.
